  • Production Planner – Permanent and full-time based in Bolton (Full time)

    Amscreen has an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join the team at this pivotal stage of our growth and development.

    The role is permanent and full-time.

    The purpose of this role is to ensure the goods manufactured by Amscreen are produced in a timely and efficient manner thereby maintaining the desired delivery schedules at 100% OTD and ensuring a comprehensive Production schedule is developed.

    The role will interact with both the Production management team alongside the Production Engineering and Procurement teams.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Developing and maintaining the Production plan to ensure maximum use of available resources
    • Running and providing MRP data to relevant departments
    • Developing and maintaining a ‘Clean to Build’ analysis that optimises the production plan
    • Liaising with all appropriate departments to determine customer requirements regarding delivery dates
    • Developing and presenting a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion dates
    • Monitoring the progress of Production to the schedule advising on daily progress to plan
    • Collecting and assessing data about the performance to plan, material usage and general resources
    • Preparing reports about performance to plan and suggesting ways to improve efficiency in the           build cycle.


    The successful applicant will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel particularly navigating large files and analysing data within these files and familiar with general business systems such as MRP and SharePoint as examples.

    You will be experienced in a manufacturing environment ideally in a scheduling capacity of multiple SKUs and have exposure to multiple level Bills of Materials.

    You will have a willingness to learn and progress new skills as well as an ability to capture new information and demonstrate an articulate, organised and methodical approach.  You will be persistent and diligent ensuring that with any given tasks, you can follow these through to a successful conclusion.

    Experience of working within projects and recognising plans, milestones and deliverables is desirable.

  • Buyer – Permanent and full-time based in Bolton (Full time)

    Amscreen has an immediate exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join the Company working within an expanding Procurement team.

    You will be joining the team at a pivotal stage in our growth and development having recently invested in a brand-new purpose-built facility which represents our ambitious expansion plans.

    The successful applicant will support the Procurement Manager in line with Amscreen’s annual purchasing strategy with specific responsibility for managing commodities in line with MRP and sourcing to support business requirements.

    You will have a sound knowledge for the procurement and specification of raw materials and propriety items used in a fast-paced electronics / engineering environment with active involvement in cross-functional working to source customer requirements and ensure the supplier can meet the expectations of our customer.


    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Purchasing of materials and services
    • Maintaining accurate system data for suppliers, lead time, pricing, due dates, batch sizes and cost price field for new items.
    • Building and developing excellent supplier relationships
    • Pro-actively expediting in full to suit business requirements and ensuring all areas are executed to alleviate and overcome problematic due dates.
    • Attending weekly production meetings to provide relevant updates as soon as available in addition to monthly KPI verification of results and achievements
    • Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures relating to purchasing, quality management and health and safety


    The successful applicant will ideally have an electronics engineering background and relevant experience within an engineering purchasing / supply chain environment and be proficient in the use of MS Office including Excel, MRP / ERP systems.

    You will demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written at all levels in the business with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously as well as being a team player and results driven.

    CIPS qualified or working towards is desirable.
