  • Office & HR Administrator (Permanent)

    Amscreen is continuing to invest significantly in its business, people and processes in which this exciting vacancy of Office & HR Administrator has arisen as part of the recent growth of the business and its future ambitions.

    This role will own a broad spectrum of administrative tasks and focus on the co-ordination of various activities across the business including HR administrative elements.

    This role is permanent and full-time office based.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    Site co-ordination Specific:

    • Sole responsibility and co-ordination of general site administrative duties including on site visitor management and call handling to various internal contacts from a central point
    • Managing employee travel requirements as required
    • Co-ordinating the arrangements for employee recognition / milestone celebrations across the site including the ordering of employee gifts
    • Planning the full spectrum of activities supporting Company led events and communication forums or other ad-hoc activities for all employees including facilitating internal communication and updates to staff
    • Ownership of general office administrative tasks including the scheduling of internal and external meetings and associated arrangements such as refreshments / lunch requirements for the required headcount
    • Generally overseeing all the day-to-day varied site activities from a co-ordination and administrative perspective
    • Other ad-hoc assignments support required for senior management

     HR specific:

    • Assisting the Head of HR in recruitment administrative activity across the business as required
    • Assisting in the employee on-boarding process including relevant documentation, right to work checks and induction planning
    • Supporting in the administrative elements of the current benefits schemes where appropriate
    • Dealing with individual process tasks such as reference enquiries and general letters
    • Supporting in the maintenance of the HR and access control system including employee absence tracking, reporting and general upkeep of employee records including filing and scanning of documentation
    • Tracking on the completion of documentation such as probation reviews and appraisal review documentation including training and development plans and requests
    • Assisting with core HR projects and annual HR objective deliverables as appropriate

     

    This role would suit an individual with a strong interest and ability to effectively manage site administrative activities and events co-ordination ideally within a Manufacturing environment and is used to dealing with people at all levels across the business; or additionally, an individual who has a genuine interest in the HR field and responsibilities involved respecting confidentiality at all times.

    Experience within a start-up operation in terms of developing new processes, policies and procedures is desirable but not essential.  The successful candidate should be open and willing to deal with the day-to-day site administrative tasks as detailed whilst supporting  HR with the varied HR related responsibilities.

  • BOM Coordinator (Permanent)

    Amscreen is continuing to invest significantly in its business, people and processes in which this exciting vacancy of BOM Coordinator has arisen as part of the recent growth of the business and its future ambitions.

    This role is part of the Manufacturing Engineering team reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

    The role is permanent and full-time office based.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Having administrative control and maintenance of the Production BOM in line with the Engineering BOM
    • Amendment and administrative control of item group settings for purchased / manufactured items in line with manufacturing engineering and purchasing capabilities and capacity
    • Ensuring administrative support for basic engineering functions within the system, i.e., data input, BOM’s, cost price errors etc
    • Liaising with other members of the project team to resolve process & operational issues that inhibit effective project delivery
    • An understanding of change management systems and the effect that manipulating BOM’s has within that system.
    • The ability to drive and lead change management that is specifically related to BOM changes, including the management of the implementation of these changes

     

    The successful candidate will have experience in EFACS ERP system or similar ERP and have a thorough understanding of manufacturing capabilities.

    The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft packages, an ability to understand Engineering drawings etc and to manage data as well as  demonstrate a process focused approach.

    You should also possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments having strong team working skills.

    Preferred is to be qualified to ONC or HNC level qualifications in a relevant technical or scientific subject.

  • Buyer (Permanent)

    This role sits within the Procurement team and the purpose is to demonstrate a good knowledge for the procurement team and specification of raw materials and propriety items used in a fast-paced electronics / engineering environment.

    • Supporting the Procurement Manager in line with Amscreen’s Annual purchasing strategy.
    • Managing commodities in line with MRP and sourcing / buying to support business requirements
    • Active involvement in cross-functional teams to source special customer requirements to ensure the supplier can meet the expectations of the customer

    • Maintaining accurate system data for suppliers, lead time, pricing, due dates, batch sizes and cost price field for new items
    • Building and developing good supplier relationships

    The successful candidate will have experience within an Engineering Purchasing / Supply Chain environment ideally with an Electronics / Engineering background.

    Experience

  • Software Tester (Permanent)

    This role sits within the Software and Firmware team with a focus on the development of new products and continuous improvement of the existing product portfolio. Responsibility is for ensuring that software undergoes manual and automated testing to identify issues and assist in investigations prior to deployment.

    This role is permanent and full-time office based.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Act as Software tester as assigned, reporting to the Head of Software
    • Develop and maintain C# and typescript automated test scripts to validate the functionality of new code releases to ensure comprehensive code coverage
    • Co-ordinate with developers to create and maintain manual test plans for new versions of software/firmware
    • Validate the interoperability of various inhouse and 3rd party software components within our bespoke Linux OS image
    • Document test plan execution detail, results, findings, and recommendations for improvements
    • Ensure test designs meet relevant code standards or confirm optimal sign operating conditions
    • Mitigate risks and escalate issues to management

     

    The desired experience for this role is writing automated tests for .NET API’s and SPA websites (Angular) and with any of the following tools is also beneficial – JMeter /   Selenium / NUnit / Postman / Karma / Jasmine

    The successful candidate should ideally have an understanding of Agile knowledge / ceremonies / project life cycle, familiarity with Azure DevOps / CI/DI pipelines is also advantageous along with exposure to SQL / PHP

  • Software Support Analyst (Permanent)

    Amscreen is continuing to invest significantly in its business, people and processes in which this exciting new vacancy of Software Support Analyst has arisen as part of the recent growth of the business and its future ambitions.  This is a new role within the business.

    This role sits within the Software team, focusing on providing technical support for our Remote Device Manager. The Software Support Analyst will be responsible for conducting basic troubleshooting and technical problem resolution for our signage and RDM. The role will involve liaising primarily with the customer help desk to assist in resolving technical issues, managing database alternations and reviewing service logs from our in-house apps both server and client side.

    This role is permanent and full-time office based.

     

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Act as Software Support Analyst as assigned reporting to the Head of Software
    • Provide timely and effective assistance to the customer support team to resolve technical problems and queries via phone calls and emails
    • Review application logs and signage logs to identify and resolve reported issues
    • Document common fixes and workflows to create a comprehensive knowledge base
    • Serve as liaison between customer help desk and internal development for all escalated product related issues, bug resolution and overall product education
    • Co-ordinate with developers and Customer Support to support improvements
    • Mitigate risks and escalate issues to management
    • Ensure the Customer Support Team RDM system up time meets KPIs

     

    The desired experience for this role is Azure DevOps / Jira – Issue logging and as a  customer support or technical support representative at 1st line support level with remote troubleshooting experience being ideal.  You should have a working knowledge of  Microsoft SQL and specifically creating and executing SQL select statements and comfortable with making database alterations.

    The successful candidate should also ideally have experience of Linux OS / command line, Networking fundamentals and basic computer hardware knowledge (Working understanding of computer components, RAM, SSD, etc.)

  • Field Operations Technician (Permanent)

    Amscreen is continuing to invest significantly in its business, people and processes and as a result have an exciting vacancy for a Field Operations Technician as part of its future growth and ambitions.  This is a new role within the business.

    This role sits within the Customer Service and Post Sales Management area of the business and is both permanent and full-time.  The position is split between site and field based requiring skills in diagnosing, identifying and resolving issues in electronics and electromechanical assemblies.  Technical experience in supporting products and maintenance operation in the field is a requirement.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Providing field support to clients for maintenance, service, fault finding and repair of outdoor screens (UK & Europe) to meet customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Identifying, investigating and understanding the root cause of product issues
    • Working with all stakeholders to continually improve product quality
    • Supporting the introduction of new products (and auxiliary kit) including assessing prototypes and advising improvements
    • Where required, supporting and working with the engineering and factory teams
    • Providing input to technical documentation
    • Aiding the training and education of clients

    You should have a flair for quickly understanding engineering problems, implementing corrective measures and demonstrating enthusiasm to grow and learn to support Amscreen in continually improving product quality and maximising customer service.

    Specifically you should have a minimum of three years electronics experience and an ability to use and apply documentation tools.  Desirable is experience in technical support in the field and manufacturing test of electronic, electrical and mechanical products as well as remote monitoring software and an understanding of civil works. Also desirable is a knowledge of IT and communication networking.

    The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find and problem solve on PC/electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, strong communication and customer service skills.  A pragmatic and analytical approach are also key attributes along with working independently and being a team player.

    You should be qualified in line with experience; a degree in a related technical/engineering subject or Time Served Qualification supporting relevant experience is desirable.

    A flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel is required.

  • Internal Auditor (Permanent)

    Amscreen is continuing to invest significantly in its business, people and processes in which this exciting new vacancy of Internal Auditor has come about as part of the recent growth of the business and its future ambitions.  This is a new role within the business.

    This role is to sit within the Operations part of the business and is permanent and full-time office based.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Assisting with the generation, execution and review of the audit plan to ensure the applicable ISO standards deployed are met and exceeded
    • Conducting the internal audits in accordance to the plan and compile audit reports and action plans
    • Following up on any action plans to ensure completion of agreed items in a timely manner and in accordance to the agreed plan
    • Helping to identify trends within the overall audits, suggesting recommendations for improvements and or containment
    • Providing suitable metrics and reporting on the QMS/business performance and inform the business of progress
    • Assisting in reinforcing the culture of continuous improvement and sustainable performance across the business
    • Assisting in hosting external audits

    You should have experience of auditing of Quality Management Systems within a Manufacturing business and specifically auditing to ISO19011 (Guidelines for Auditing Management System).

    The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate drive to improve operational efficiencies working across multiple departments and equally develop robust and scalable processes.

    You should possess the appropriate practical skills and abilities for this role including good IT and specifically Microsoft Excel skills as well as being a strong written and verbal communicator.

  • Software Engineer – Manufacturing Test Development (Permanent)

    Amscreen has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer – Manufacturing Test Development to join the Manufacturing Engineering team which has been identified as a new role within the business.  This is a new role within the business

    The focus of this role is to primarily develop and maintain production test and verification software applications for sub-assemblies, modules and final products. With a bias on PC application software the role is to design and produce test applications to ensure delivered product quality.

    This position is permanent and full-time office based.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • The key aim of this role is to develop software applications for functional testing of product hardware modules and systems
    • Developing and maintaining product tracking software tools and databases
    • Providing test specifications for hardware modules, sub-assemblies, final assembly and QA tests
    • Assisting with the development of production test strategies for module and final assemblies
    • Maintaining existing test software to keep pace with NPI, new variants and change control
    • Developing and maintaining a close relationship with design engineering team to ensure products are designed for optimum manufacturing test solutions
    • Supporting factory test data logging on internal network and reporting tools
    • Assisting in the development of product variant verification processes and tracking automation
    • Assisting with prototype builds and NPI, feedback design for assembly / test issues to engineering team
    • Providing production test support, assist in diagnostics and failure analysis
    • Specifying and implementing production test IT equipment in line with IT policies and procedures
    • Identifying test escapes and implementing continuous improvements
    • Providing work instructions to support product test and configuration
    • Working closely with the customer software and support teams to coordinate and integrate production test software

     

    The successful applicant should have an appropriate level of experience (3 – 5 years) in a software application development role ideally in a manufacturing test environment.

    The relevant skills and attributes for this role are excellent IT productivity tool knowledge (e.g. MS Office tools, Excel, Word etc) alongside core coding skills in C# using visual studio and SoC coding experience, embedded firmware, Arduino code, RPi or BeagleBone is also an advantage.

    The successful candidate will understand electronic principles and have experience of interfacing with APIs and control of external peripherals via serial interfaces, in addition to proficient knowledge of Linux OS (Ubuntu) and an understanding of SQL data interface.  A knowledge of LabView is also advantageous.

    You should have the ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and equally be proficient in data analysis skills.  Good written and verbal communication skills and being self-motivated with the ability to work individually and within a team environment are core skills and attributes for this role.

    You should be qualified to GCSE level including Maths and Physics and hold a Technical based Degree typically in Maths, Physics, Electronics or Computer Science.
