  • Head of New Product Introduction (NPI) & Projects – Full time/Office based (Bolton) (Full time)

    Head of NPI & Projects:

     

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of New Product Introduction (NPI) & Projects to join the team at this pivotal stage of our growth and development.

     

    This role is key for managing the NPI & Projects team activities and having responsibility for ensuring that new product development and delivery follows the Amscreen governance process and project management framework.

     

    You will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and the role is permanent and full-time.

     

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

     

      • Managing the Amscreen governance data storage, revision and reviews in accordance with project plans
      • Working with the Project Manager to initiate the Amscreen governance plans for new product development and creating the launch pack on project start
      • Creating weekly reports for management review on project status and holding weekly project team meetings for project members
      • A track record of driving projects to completion and meeting key requirements
      • Project governance including ensuring compliance to the regulatory requirements for certification
      • Working with key stakeholders across the business to ensure timely decisions are taking place within the governance, concession and ECR processes
      • Responsible for driving the concession and engineering change request processes and outputs
      • Taking part in continuous improvement activities and engaging with cross functional teams to drive excellence

     

    What are we looking for?

     

    The successful applicant will have experience in project management in a product development and manufacturing environment and of leading and managing a small team working to tight deadlines and equally supporting their development.

     

    You will have excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the business and manage stakeholder relationships whilst demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

     

    A good knowledge of MS Project and Office 365 is required.

     

    You should be qualified to degree level in a relevant technical or scientific subject.

  • Embedded Development Engineer – Full time/Office based (Bolton) (Full time)

    Embedded Development Engineer:

     

    We have an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Development Engineer to join the team at this pivotal stage of our growth and development.  You will report directly to the Embedded Software Manager and the role is permanent and full-time.

     

    This role sits within the Software Development team with a focus on the client-side software. Working with the Engineering team, you will be instrumental in developing the next generation of software solutions for our products whilst ensuring that we are recognised as the most creative and progressive business in the digital signage industry.

     

    Although we wouldn’t expect the successful candidate to be proficient across all these areas, they must display an ability to quickly absorb technical challenges, develop software and work with other members of the software team to provide solutions.

     

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

     

    • Software Development in one or more of:
      • C#           Linux/Windows applications and services using .NET5/6
      • C             Embedded real-time on STM32 M0 microcontrollers
      • PHP
    • Web and CLI Developing applications and libraries using .NET5/6 to monitor and control hardware
    • Hardware and software development of test equipment
    • Development and execution of test plans
    • 2nd Line Product Support / Fault Diagnosis
    • Product improvement analysis

     

    The successful applicant will have a minimum of one year’s experience developing software with knowledge of the software development life-cycle.  Experience of Linux and in particular Raspberry Pi alongside programming microcontrollers is desirable.

     

    We are also looking for some hardware appreciation (with the ability to follow schematics and datasheets) being desirable with the required mentoring and training being given to the right candidate.

    You will have the ability to adapt quickly to new software, hardware and development platforms together with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  You will be able to work unsupervised and independently and equally as part of the team.

    You should be qualified to Bachelor’s degree level in a related technical/engineering subject or computer science degree.
