  • Senior Embedded Development Engineer (Permanent)

    We have an opportunity for a Senior Embedded Development Engineer join join the team at this pivotal stage of our growth and development.

    You will report directly to the Embedded Software Manager and the role is both permanent and full-time.

    This is a critical role for managing software projects with responsibility for client side software, embedded into our products.

     

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Managing all embedded software development projects
    • Defining, creating and reporting Sprint plans in DevOps
    • Co-ordinating activities with the Server side software and the Electronics teams
    • Software Development in Embedded real-time on STM32 M0 microcontrollers
    • Hardware & software development and support for test equipment
    • Development and execution of plans
    • 2nd Line Product Support / Fault Diagnostic

     

    The successful applicant with have proven  experience in embedded engineering in a product development and manufacturing environment.  You will have experience of leading and managing a small team working to tight deadlines and supporting other teams on complex projects and the ability to adapt quickly to new software, hardware and development platforms.

    We are looking for someone with a knowledge of software development using DevOps or Agile methodology, and with the ability to follow schematics and datasheet. You will need to have experience with CANBus,I2C and UART and Linux experience would be an advantage.

    You will be able to demonstrate extensive embedded C experience using STM32 microcontrollers and have good hardware appreciation of circuits for monitoring applications. You will be required to demonstrate technical leadership in embedded applications and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

     

    The successful applicant will be qualified to Bachelor’s degree level or related technical/engineering subject.

  • Head of Projects & NPI (Permanent)

    Head of Projects & New Product Introduction (NPI)

    We have an opportunity for a Head of Projects & NPI to join the team at this pivotal stage of our growth and development.

    You will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer and the role is both permanent and full-time.

    This is a critical role for managing Project activities and is part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team with responsibility for driving the project management framework for the end-to-end delivery of projects in a timely manner, and ensuring delivery follows the Amscreen governance process.

    The role manages the engineering change control (ECR) process for continuous improvement projects as required.

    The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role include:

    • Working closely with the CTO, COO and all other key business stakeholders to ensure project risks and any escalating issues affecting project goals are identified in a timely manner
    • Determining, driving and maintaining of project documentation including the overall time plan for the ongoing project portfolio and associated risk logs
    • Driving the end-to-end project plans and ensuring responsibilities are carried out to deliver objectives
    • Holding project reviews with key stakeholders and project members for governance and task delivery
    • Managing the Amscreen project governance, revision and reviews in accordance with project plans
    • Creating reports for management review of project KPIs and project risks
    • Future identification of project costs, including target Ex Works Costs to ensure these will be met and reported throughout the development phases
    • Ensuring compliance testing and documentation in place for regulatory certification
    • Work with key stakeholders to ensure timely decisions are taking place for projects and ECRs
    • Taking part in continuous improvement activities and engaging with cross functional teams to drive excellence

     

    The successful applicant with have proven experience in project management in a product development and manufacturing environment.  You will have experience of leading and managing a small team working to tight deadlines and supporting the development of direct reports.

    We are looking for someone who is tenacious and assertive with the ability to collate the required factual information in a timely manner along with having a strong attention to detail.

    You will be able to demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the business and manage stakeholder relationships across multiple disciplines.  Equally, strong interpersonal, influencing and teamworking skills are key as is the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

    A good working knowledge of MS Project and Office 365 is required.

    Qualified to degree level in a relevant technical or scientific subject is preferred but not essential or equivalent relevant experience.
